On Friday, country singer John Michael Montgomery was involved in a serious car accident on his way to a concert in North Carolina.

Yesterday was a really tough day for us. We were on our way to a concert in North Carolina when we got into a really bad accident.

Everyone on the bus is hurt, but we're all going to be okay.  Thank you so much for your prayers and support.

He said that he was doing well, even though he had some cuts and broken ribs.

Over the next few weeks I will focus on healing so that I can return to touring soon.

I'm thankful for the medics and highway patrol for their quick response to this tough situation. Thanks to everyone for their care.

John Michael Montgomery's 1994 album Kickin' It Up and 1995 album both reached No. 1 on the Hot  Country Albums chart, with  Kickin' It Up also charting at No. 1  on the Billboard 200 albums chart.
