SCO Summit 2022 in Uzbekistan:: Preparations have been completed for the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit in Uzbekistan. The SCO meeting is going to be held on 15 and 16 September in the city of Samarkand, Uzbekistan. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be in Uzbekistan to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit on September 15 and 16. During this, he will meet many big leaders including Russian President Vladimir Putin.

According to the Ministry of External Affairs, PM Modi will visit at the invitation of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to attend the 22nd meeting of the Heads of State of the SCO Council.

There is a possibility of a bilateral meeting between PM Modi and the Chinese President on the sidelines of the summit.

It was founded in Shanghai by Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan and the Kyrgyz Republic. This organization mainly focuses on regional security issues and development. India became an observer in the SCO in 2005 and joined Pakistan in 2017.

In the SCO Summit 2022, the issue of Russia-Ukraine War will be included in the important agenda.
