PM Modi And Vladimir Putin: Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday at the SCO Summit 2022 and discussed many serious issues. During this, he asked President Vladimir Putin to end the war in Ukraine and return to the path of dialogue.

PM Modi said, “I know today’s era is not of war. We have discussed this issue with you many times over the phone that democracy, diplomacy and dialogue touch the whole world.” He said he hoped to talk about how he can move forward on the road to peace in the coming days and to understand Putin’s vision.

PM Modi said, “The biggest concern facing the world today is food security, fuel security and fertilizers. We have to find ways out of these problems and you also have to consider it.”

‘We know about Modi’s position’

Putin also had to answer on PM Modi’s statement on Ukraine. The Russian president said he was aware of Modi’s situation and “concerns” over the Ukraine conflict. “We want this to end as soon as possible, but the Ukrainian leadership has refused to engage in the negotiation process,” he said. He said that he wanted to achieve his objectives militarily on the battlefield.

PM Modi expresses gratitude to Russia-Ukraine

During this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his gratitude to Vladimir Putin and Ukraine. He said that when thousands of Indian students were trapped in Ukraine during the crisis, then with the help of Russia and Ukraine, we could get our students out of there. He said that today’s era is not of war but of diplomacy.

SCO Conference in Samarkand

PM Modi attended the SCO summit meeting on Friday. During this, Prime Minister Modi said that the global supply chain has been disrupted due to Kovid-19 and the situation in Ukraine, causing an ‘unprecedented’ food and energy security crisis before the world.

The summit of the influential eight-nation SCO grouping took place at a time of geopolitical turmoil due to Russia’s attack on Ukraine and China’s aggressive military stance against Taiwan. Modi arrived here on Thursday night on a nearly 24-hour tour.
