India’s External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said that France is a major member of the European Union. “We discussed taking forward the India-EU dialogue on trade, investment and geographical indications. We welcome the beginning of the first round of talks in this regard. In a joint press conference with French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna, S Jaishankar said that it has been agreed to work towards the establishment of Indo-Pacific Trilateral Development Cooperation. This will give a boost to development projects especially under the International Solar Alliance. Apart from this, he said that the International Solar Alliance (ISA) has now built projects in 3 countries, which show the combined influence of India and France in Bhutan, Papua New Guinea and Senegal.
