Global Terrorist: China on Friday once again withdrew a resolution moved by the US and India at the United Nations, in which Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT)’s Sajid Mir was to be declared a ‘global terrorist’. Sajid Mir is India’s most wanted terrorist and was involved in the 2008 Mumbai attacks.
Let us tell you that the US moved a resolution to blacklist Mir as a global terrorist under the 1267 Al-Qaeda Sanctions Committee of the United Nations Security Council, which India supported. Sajid Mir is the top commander of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and is in charge of Lashkar-e-Taiba’s ‘India setup’.
Sajid Mir is the mastermind of Mumbai Terror Attack
Sajid Mir is one of the masterminds of Mumbai Terror Attack (November 26, 2008). He was responsible for the largest ever foreign Lashkar-e-Taiba terror attack, which resulted in the death of citizens of several countries, including India and Western countries.
During the attack 175 people were killed (18 police personnel, 122 people, 26 foreigners and 9 terrorists) and 291 were injured (25 police personnel, 243 people, 22 foreigners and one terrorist Ajmal Kasab). Mir was the project manager of Lashkar-e-Taiba for the November 2008 Mumbai terror attacks. He had instructed the terrorists involved in the attack through satellite phones to execute the hostages during the operation. He is also actively involved in launching Lashkar operatives in India.
China is putting obstacles again and again!
China, which is Pakistan’s best friend, has been an obstacle in the way of Pakistani terrorists for being blacklisted continuously. In June, China had also obstructed a proposal to declare another Pakistani terrorist Abdul Rehman Makki as a terrorist at the last moment. China had also hindered Masood Azhar’s proposal to be a global terrorist. Efforts were made to designate Masood as a global terrorist after the 2016 Pathankot terror attack, but after the Pulwama terror attack in 2019, he was declared a global terrorist.
